Built on more than four decades in the steel trade
Al Hamidin Steel is a steel trading company serving contractors, fabricators and industrial buyers. We supply flat, long and coated steel, roofing and cladding systems, and steel structures for solar plants.
The company branched from Elshamy Steel, founded in 1980, and has traded as Al Hamidin Steel since 2018. Alongside supply, we advise on grades and standards, cut coil to length or slit it to width, and deliver to site.

Elshamy Steel is founded.
2018
Al Hamidin Steel branches from Elshamy Steel and starts trading under its own name.
Today
More than 100 clients and 1M tons of steel supplied, from an office in Nasr City, Cairo, and a warehouse on Al Bate Road, Qalyub.

Our mark
Coil, beam, bar
Our mark is drawn from three forms of steel, the same forms we supply.
01
Coil: the outer ring
Hot-rolled coil is how steel is wound before it's cut, slit or shaped. Drawn as one continuous circle, it holds the mark together.

Beam: the H at the centre
Two flanges joined by a single web: the profile of a structural I-beam, turned upright. Read as a letter, it's the H of Al Hamidin. Read as steel, it's the load-bearing member.

Bar: the two horizontals
The lines run edge to edge across the coil, the way bar and billet stack in a rack. They tie the beam to the ring, so the three elements read as one drawing rather than a letter inside a circle.
